Overview
This workshop begins March 16th. We will be spending three nights in the Sedona Red Rocks learning how to capture the spectacular night sky. This workshop is perfect for beginner/intermediate astrophotographers looking to take the next step in astro, as we will begin to touch on tracking the night sky and pano photography. Sedona Arizona is a perfect location as we have beautiful compositions in all directions which is perfect for the many night sky objects to shoot at this time of the year. This workshop does not include any accommodations or food, however we will be conducting two 2-3 hour editing session during the days when we have down time, as well as including one editing video tutorial custom made that will be sent within one week upon the completion of the workshop.
What you will learn!
Over the course of this workshop my goal is to help you shoot single shots and timelapses of the night sky. How to find compelling compositions, optimal camera settings, focusing your camera at night, light painting and more…Getting into tracking the night sky and combining them into one single image in photoshop. You will learn tons of post processing techniques outlining exactly how I produce my images, and my mindset going into each edit.
Itinerary Overview
This workshop will begin Monday afternoon, and go till Thursday Morning. Planning on meeting between 3pm-4pm. There will be a significantly more detailed itinerary sent if you email and ask for it, or once you signup!
Logistics
This workshop everyone is responsible for their own transportation and accommodations. The Sedona, and surrounding area, have ample accommodation options all well within a short distance of our shooting locations. There will be a couple locations where we will have to off-road to get to, if you don’t have a car capable for that I will have space in mine that people can ride in. If you are flying in and renting a car, the cheapest flight may be into Phoenix AZ then make the 1hr 45min drive north into Sedona. However, you are able to fly directly into Sedona, or Flagstaff, smaller airports so the flights may be more expensive.
Workshop Payment & Terms
The tuition for this workshop is $1,100.00 USD, a partial deposit of $500.00 USD to reserve your spot. Once you sign up I will have the full detailed itinerary sent to you as well as a packing list. Please email me with any questions.
